* LJ has become that toothache that aches when you tongue it but sorta kinda just feels numb when you ignore it. There are many many reasons for this and half are mine and I own them and half are the flists and I'm pretty sure they couldn't give a rat's ass....but I'm feeling this particular journal of mine is done. Finished. In the same way my last lj journal came to a horrid messy end. What did we use to say in junior high - it's been real and it's been fun but it hasn't been real fun? Some of you will see my voice again - soon maybe, but others won't and I wish you all the best and have a great life and remember it's short and you gotta embrace all of it and take what you need and leave the rest and be kind and pet animals and rally for the underdog and all of that bumper sticker stuff.

* On a more lj-ey note, I've found a novel that some of you will love - you in particular, bauhausfrau! It is steeped to the brim in that amazing British Lit genre of overlapping lives separated by generations - AS Byatt perfected this niche with "Possession" but Lindsey Clarke pre-dated her with "The Chymical Wedding" (it is shameful that that amazing title is out of print) and now I'm adding this new title to the list "Ghostwalk" by Rebecca Stott. Only 1/3 of the way in but it is beautiful in its prose, shocking on some singular lines and delicious in every imaginable way. What other titles fit this genre? John Fowles' "The French Lieutenant's Woman".

* BSG continues to amaze and generate thought (and lustful vibes for Admiral Adama). How cool is it that we get to see mini-Olmos every time his son is on screen. I love that!

* Not writing. Playing with dogs. And that's good, too.

Selfishly, I want you to stay put and chat about all that is strange and wonderful and unique to your interests :-(

Fresh air and doggie-play is no match for a computer screen, though. I hope very much that I see you in whatever new incarnation you look to next.

Yours in BSG-love :-D

Growth is normal and sometimes growing means moving on.

I wish you and The Viking all the best. I'll see you when I see you I guess.

Be well.

Sad to see you go, and I sincerely hope none of my entries contributed to anything that would cause you to re-think your current f-list :(

I'll miss your entries, and I still hope we can keep in touch somehow on some platform. :)

I will really miss you. Your journal has always been one of the most stimulating that I read, and I have learned so much from you. The diversity of your interests has always impressed me, and I loved your dolls so much. Take care, sweetie.

Oh, no!
Your first paragraph ... speechless! ... but also understanding. I've never been a constant participant in anyone's LJ, not even my own. And I, too, have wondered if it isn't time to move on, or just move out. Typically undecided, I do neither.

I will miss you so, so much--I still check into SkullTheatre from time to time--but I will keep my eyes peeled for your next LJ incarnation. (Massive hugs!)

I will certainly miss reading this journal but I understand the need to move on if the journal isn't suiting you any more. The LJ I'm using now isn't my original one. Sometimes it's best to start fresh. Would love to see you online again one day but if not... have fun with puppy and Viking and carry on being cool.

When things, experiences or people start diminishing our souls instead of growing them it's time to move on. Sometimes you need to take time to examine these things.

You inspire many people here. I'm waiting for your return, whatever form you decide to take. Love ya! And good luck!!:)

I thought I'd pop in and wave, though I haven't seen so very much of you (or piped up much) since the Pirates of the Caribbean days. Best of luck in your new endeavours, livejournal and otherwise.
